What is Cop on Top? It’s a water fight with cops, firefighters and the army plus it’s a Special Olympics fundraiser!
First responders will engage the public in a water fight at the Walmart parking lot, using a donated scissor lift to elevate personnel 10 feet off the ground.
Donation buckets will be placed at the activity area, while volunteers and athletes will be stationed at the Walmart doors to receive donations.
What is Special Olympics? We offer humans with intellectual and physical disabilities, starting at age 8, the opportunity to participate in sports year-round. Our athletes compete in regional tournaments, with the possibility of advancing to state, national, and international levels.
Our programs are inclusive, welcoming individuals of all abilities without exception. Dedicated coaches, parents, and friends generously volunteer their time to support our athletes.
Importantly, our athletes never have to "pay to play." This event In addition to our golf tournament and other fundraisers help cover the costs of transportation to competitions, practice venues, equipment, and uniforms. The generosity of our community enables us to sustain these programs and keep our athletes actively involved.
We would be thrilled to have you join us for our Cop on Top fundraiser. Your participation is incredibly important to us. If you would like to volunteer for a 2 hour shift helping collect donations and assisting with the water, reach out to Carrie Patterson or Cheryl Sonnen
