About the event

Winter Open House

Join us for a cozy winter afternoon at the Clarksburg History Museum as we celebrate the Civil War era. Our Winter Open House features visiting Civil War authors, 19th Century friends and food, and a special Stonewall Jackson birthday cake in honor of his January birthday. His sister, Laura Jackson Arnold will be visiting and The Lewis Rangers will be in attendance to give a presentation on Civil War Era Clothing.

Guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments on the house, explore the museum’s exhibits, shop the gift shop, and learn about our new member program.

We are also thrilled to host three fantastic Civil War authors and their books - Caroline Ann Davis, Richard Wolfe, and Peter Taylor

This event is free and open to the public.

Stop in and warm up!

Parking is free and plentiful in downtown Clarksburg on Saturdays.
