135th Anniversay of the First Arbor Day in New Zealand

Greytown Community you are all invited to participate in the 135th Anniversary of Arbor Day on 3 July 2025. This historic day was first held in Greytown on 3 July 1890. We are having a special Tree Planting Ceremony in Arbor Reserve followed by refreshments in Greytown Town Hall. We hope to recognise special contributions to the history of this day and will also be announcing the winners of the Student Colouring Contest for Arbor Day
