Saint Francis - Blessing of the Animals

Join First Congregational Church - Claremont on October 5th, with a Blessing of the Animals service in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology. We will hold the service outside in the side garden. You and your securely leashed or caged non-human companions are welcome to join us as we bless the lives of animals and the impact they have on our lives. If you are uncomfortable or unable to bring your pet, please feel free to bring a photo, food bowl, toy, or other item to represent your animal love. Children and others are welcome to bring stuffed animals as well. We will also take a moment during the service to honor our companions who are no longer with us.

Join us for our regularly schedule Sunday service afterwards along with communion or if you would just like to come for the blessing of the animals at 10am
