Swimming? Yep, this includes those quick dips, long and short wetsuit swims, and further afield swims!
Who's this for? Anyone, anywhere, all abilities, basically anyone that is keen to learn!
Why should you come? Ask yourself... do you factor in the wind, tide, risk, hazards, and other exciting things when you go for your dip or long wetsuit swim? What is your risk tolerance? Do you know what tisk tolerance the people you swim with have? Do you swim with people less experienced than you? Do you know what a neap and spring tide are and how that affects your swimming? Can you read a chart? Do you know what a secondary port is?
The workshop aim: is for you to take control of your open water swimming decisions in this interactive workshop. Explore key factors like wind, tides, waves, and depth, and learn how to assess and adapt to changing conditions. This session is a work in progress—there’s always more to learn—but it’s a great starting point to build your confidence, enhance your safety, and take charge of your decision-making in open water.
