Learn how to create your own retail website on Squarespace in this hands-on workshop with Yeshen Venema.
ABOUT THE SESSION
There’s no excuse anymore for craftspeople to not have a website, but building one can feel like a thankless task that can take precious time away from making.
That’s why we have invited Squarespace expert Yeshen Venema to host this practical workshop, which will give you the skills to build and maintain a professional website.
Taking place over the course of a few hours, students will be taught the fundamentals of website design from how to lead your user through your site, creating content for your site and building the site within the Squarespace platform.
By the end of the workshop, you should be able to:
* Plan and optimise your use of images and video across your site
* Understand the importance of a blog and email newsletter
* How to work with Sections across your site
* Manage the updated design settings and tools within V7.1 including colour pallet and fonts
* + gain experience of the new Squarespace features, such as:
* Member Areas, Courses and monetizing your blog
* AI enhanced text and SEO
* Custom shipping settings.
Students will be invited to bring their own laptop so they can follow along and ask specific questions related to their own sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from a master of website design, resolve any website issues, ask an expert your burning questions specific to your site and get the answers in real time to make the changes required to optimise your website.
