Eklutna River Appreciation Day

Join us for a family-friendly event in appreciation of the Eklutna River! We will have a dance performance, updates on river restoration efforts, free lunch, plant walks, and kids' activities. Local experts, naturalists, and storytellers will guide hands-on activities that teach about the Eklutna River’s ecology and history - with something for everyone. Come and join us in celebrating and appreciating this important salmon river close to home!

Please RSVP so we can make sure there’s plenty of food for everyone. Join us rain or shine and dress for the weather. Expect mud!

Directions: Take the Glenn Highway to the Eklutna Exit. Turn North towards Eklutna Village on Eklutna Village Road. Drive past Eklutna Historical Park and over the railroad tracks until you reach the Eklutna Powwow Grounds - signs will direct you to parking. You can also enter "Eklutna Powwow Grounds" into Google maps.

Update: We have decided to cancel the clean-up portion of this event in order to protect spawning salmon habitat.
