Thallasic Pieta Launch Event

This exhibition is my deeply personal meditation on the sea, it’s grace, it’s wounds, and our place within its vast memory. Emerging from a place of both reverence and sorrow, the works reflect my longing to protect what is ancient vulnerable and enduring. The paintings trace an emotional arc from Eden, through sadness, satire and a glimmer of hope. Painted in naive realism, magical realism and surrealism the works are also representative of a fable-like story telling with rich wall texts, as much a part of the art as the paint on the canvas.
