Rails & Ales is back on Saturday, August 9th, ready to take you on a unique ride through some of Christchurch’s top bars.
With a fresh mix of returning favourites and exciting new venues, you’ll be stopping in at:
Craft Embassy, DUX Central, Mr Brightside, The Loft, Bar Franco, and Cascade.
Whether you’re into beer, wine, or cocktails, we’ve got you sorted. Grab your wristband and tokens from your starting venue and let the tram do the rest — running continuously from 1 PM to 5 PM.
🎟 Tickets Include:
🍺 Beer Ticket – 6 drinks total: a half pint (or 330ml bottle) at each participating venue.
🍸 Cocktail Ticket – 3 cocktails, redeemable at Cascade, Bar Franco & Mr Brightside.
🍷 Wine Ticket – 3 glasses (150ml each), redeemable at The Loft, Craft Embassy & DUX Central.
🚋 How It Works:
– Choose your starting venue when you buy your ticket.
– Collect your tokens and wristband on arrival.
– Hop on and off the trams all afternoon — one loops every 10–15 minutes.
– Only redeem drinks at venues matching your ticket type (beer, wine, or cocktail).
– Make your own adventure — whether you visit all 6 venues or stick to your favourites, it's up to you.
