October’s huinga (gathering) is happening a little further into the month than usual, but hopefully people can still attend.
We will be focusing on our usual meremere (singing) of Moriori rongo (songs). Please feel free to bring kei (food) to share during our time together.
We will be in the EPIC Innovation Centre, a space kindly donated by the wonderful people there. There are facilities for tea and coffee preparation.
Please be aware that the Manchester Street entrance is easiest for us to monitor and let people in, but feel free to knock loudly or message this event if you are stuck outside any of the other entrances.
The Manchester Street door propped open during the huinga for late comers to pop in. Paid parking is available at Little High eatery, otherwise it is a short distance to the bus exchange.
Please click “going” on this event or message one of the hosts so we know our numbers.
Invite all of your Moriori hunau 🥰 everyone is welcome. Please pass on our warmest haramai (welcome) to your people; their presence will be treasured, even if it is just to sit, have a cuppa tea together, and observe ☕️
