Join us at Cashmere's High's Performing Arts Centre for a fun night in at the movies. Family classic The Croods is entertainment for all ages, while NZ's Uproar will provide laughs in the vein of Hunt for the Wilderpeople, for kids and adults ages 12 years+.

Uproar is a 2023 New Zealand coming-of-age comedy-drama film starring Julian Dennison, Rhys Darby and Minnie Driver. Set in Dunedin during the 80's, it relates the story of a 17-year-old boy who is drawn into political activism to stand up for himself, his family and his future. Uproar was released to critical acclaim.

While the auditorium is food-free, we'll have a food zone in the foyer with all the usual movie night fare plus there will be spot prizes, and fair games for those whose attention
ABOUT THE APPEAL
Help us to send Cashmere High students Eliza O'Meagher and Eleri Clare to the U19 Rowing World Championships in Lithuania this August. These athletes are multi-secondary school rowing national champions and national record holders.
Due to funding cuts across youth sports development, their 9-week World Championship campaign is entirely self-funded. On June 15, they will head to Lake Karapiro in the Waikato for 6 weeks of training before heading to Europe and the world stage.
