We're set to continue our mahi on Taramea Loop this Sunday, 10th August - weather dependent. The forecast for Sunday looks a little dodgy at this point but we're hoping that this may change. Please check the website as we'll likely pull the pin if it's really rubbish. However, we may go ahead if it's just a bit of a fleeting shower. I'll try and get an email out on Saturday pm, if we need to cancel due to weather.
The Plan will depend on what the weather throws at us between now and Sunday, but we are hoping to continue with our gravel mission and/or complete a berm or two.
If you want to join our mahi this Sunday, please meet us at the stockyards (half way up Rapaki) for a 9.30am safety and work-plan briefing. Depending on numbers, we'll allocate volunteers to work groups and head off from there.
If you're running late and/or can't make a 9.30am start we'll write up where you can find us on the white board at the shipping container (by the stockyards).
What to bring -
Wear sturdy shoes, gloves, warm clothes and bring some water - and/or a thermos of your favourite brew if you want to remain for a chat and a cuppa afterwards.
We supply the tools but feel free to bring your own (spade or grubber), if have a favourite and prefer to use your own.
Biscuits (maybe some home baking if I'm organised) and trail karma supplied for free.
Hoping to see you on Sunday.
