This class brings Pilates and Tai Chi together.
After being accredited by Live Stronger for Longer, Jingjing myself has been encouraged by Sport Canterbury to offer something fresh but familiar — Pila-Chi, a gentle mix of Pilates and Tai Chi especially helpful for women.
Though I trained in Pilates over 10 years ago in the UK, I haven't taught it for a while. But I’ve seen how popular it’s become again — in China, it’s already common to see Pilates and Tai Chi blended in Body Balance classes or Pilates studios.
Why Pila-Chi?
Tai Chi has been shown clinically to increase lean muscle, improve balance, and even reduce waistlines. Pilates, first called Contrology by founder Joseph Pilates, was originally used to help injured soldiers recover after World War II. His core belief? To take back control of life, we start with the body.
