This is a weekly session for women, focusing on wellbeing in nature techniques. The group will be relaxed, informal and you can join in the activities and discussions as much or as little as you would like. Each session will focus on mindfulness with craft, or ID activities that increase your sense of connectedness with nature.
The sessions are weekly, each Thursday afternoon from 1 to 2:30pm on the 13th, 20th and 27th November and the 4th, 11th and 18th December. It’s £48 for the 6 week block (£8 per session), some half price and one free place is available each term.
Nature connection has been shown to have a strong link to levels of mental well being and this course will give you techniques and activities you can do at home to help you de-stress and feel more relaxed and at one with your environment.
The hour and a half long workshops will be delivered by Liz Webley, an experienced forest school practitioner who has trained as a Naturewell Nature & Health facilitator. Each week we will guide you through a grounding practice to get you to be in the moment and notice your surroundings – and then move on to a craft or wellbeing activity that will increase your sense of connection to nature. There will be some time for discussion with a brew and a slice of cake and then an idea for a take home exercise. Over the 6 weeks we will try a range of activities as well as having plenty of time sat round the fire drinking tea and eating cake!
