Have you always wanted to sew but no idea where to start? Have you got a machine at home gathering dust in a cupboard or is it still sitting in the box somewhere? This is the class for you!
In 2.5 hours we will guide you through the basics and give you the confidence to start using your sewing machine and get creative with it!
What's Included? Get to know your own sewing machine and all its parts. How to fill a bobbin and threading up your machine. Needles - how to change them, why different needles are required. We will practice Straight and zigzag stitches. Tips on sewing straight lines, turning corners and securing your stitches. Suggestions on some beginner friendly projects and a little beginners guide to take away with you.
We have a beautiful and very well equipped studio. If you have your own sewing machine bring it along with the accessories and the manual to get familiar with it and practice on it. If you’ve no machine but really want to get started in a 2.5 hour class then we will provide you with one of our Janome studio sewing machines.
We want you to leave with the confidence to use your machine and delve into more sewing projects.
In all classes we include tea, coffee and biscuits.
