Introduction to Mentoring - a course from Lancashire Adult Learning

This programme is aimed to support people wishing to work or volunteer in a Mentoring role, in a range of areas from schools, colleges, to drug or alcohol rehabilitation services, and domestic abuse support.
You will learn:
·What is meant by a mentor and mentee;
·Different types of mentoring and skills needed to work in this area;
·Communication and the effects of this on the mentoring relationship;
·Advantages and disadvantages of mentoring to both the mentor and mentee;
·Mentoring agreements;
·Types of support provided to a mentor

These sessions take place free of charge, in a ground floor room and refreshments are provided.
