The Secret Agent is a tense, slow-burning Brazilian thriller from director Kleber Mendonça Filho.

The story follows a university professor who leaves São Paulo for Recife during Carnival week, hoping for a quiet reunion with his son.

Instead, he discovers that he is being watched, followed, and quietly hemmed in by the people around him, turning what should have been a refuge into a tightening web of surveillance and corruption.

Starring Oscar nominated Wagner Moura, Calos Francisco, Tania Maria, Roberto Diogenes and Alice Carvalho.
