See below for more information about Malmesbury Choir and Bristol Fashion Chorus:
Malmesbury Choir
Malmesbury Choir was formed in 2014 by a group of like-minded people who wanted to create a new, non-auditioned choir for the area. The choir now has 72 members in soprano, alto, tenor and bass. Performances are held regularly in the Town, with the preferred location being Malmesbury Abbey.
The choir usually performs stand-alone pieces in their repertoire but recently tackled “Dreamweaver” by Ola Gjeilo and Charles Anthony Silvestri. Malmesbury choir has won competitions at the Wootton Basset Arts Festival and Mid Somerset Festival.
The choir’s musical director is Laurie Jones. Musical accompaniment by Andy Allpass.
Bristol Fashion Chorus
Bristol Fashion Chorus is a vibrant group of women who love singing four-part a cappella – no instruments, just pure harmony.
We’ve been making music together since 1977, rehearsing every Thursday in Bristol. Led by the brilliant Craig Kehoe, we're all about pushing boundaries, having fun, and delivering feel-good performances that connect with our audiences.
We sing at festivals, put on our own shows, and compete nationally – currently holding 4th place in the UK.
We’ve performed in all sorts of venues, but singing in Malmesbury Abbey will be a first – and we’re buzzing to fill it with harmony. Those acoustics? We can’t wait!
