We are delighted to have Rob Dix joining us to guide us through an expressive blues workshop.
The workshop will start with how to perfect the important fundamentals of extended close hold and blues rhythm.
From there we will move into dynamic lead follow movement to play with connected stretch, timing, momentum and adding musical texture.
Dancers will practice active and passive lead or follow movement, learning when to initiate, when to respond and how to listen through the body to develop elasticity and trust between partners.
The workshop will emphasise clarity, adaptability and expressive partnership, creating a grounded and responsive blues connection on the dance floor.

The workshop will be followed by our monthly freestyle which will feature music from slow to mid range in tempo, from gentle acoustic through to epic drama, along with a flavour of tango, wcs, latin and chill.
Tea, coffee and hot & cold snacks provided. Please bring your own drinks if you wish.
