Prompt: Escape!
For more information, call (757) 336-3460
Join us for 1 hour group sessions for all writing styles and levels, held twice monthly at the Island Library. Writers can attend single sessions or all sessions. No registration required. The writers group meets twice a month at the library.
Each session, writers can read a piece inspired from the provided prompt, or any other piece they would like to share. Time is limited 5 minutes per reading so everyone can read and receive feedback. Please limit your reading to one page or less. Excerpts from larger pieces are welcome, too! If you are able, please print 3-5 copies of your piece, but it is not required.
The important stuff:
Feedback is only positive! We’re here to lift each other up and grow confidence in our writing.
We respect each other & each other’s work. Differences in opinion may come up in our writing but not commented on within the session. We respect each other’s stories and backgrounds.
For more information, please contact the Chincoteague Island Library. 757-336-3460
