This circle is open to moms, dads, step-parents, grandparents, and all who have a child they'd like to spend some quality time with in nature and in community. (My husband and son will be attending as well!)
This circle is a co-creation with my daughter, Lily. I have been facilitating community circles in Chilliwack for two years, and 9 year old Lily is stepping in to co-lead this one with me.
We are ready to gather parents and children (7 years or older) for a time of connection, creativity, and fun. We'll have activities that will give each pair time to really see each other, and to create something meaningful together. We will also hold space as a group for sharing how it is to be a parent and to be a kid, celebrating what's amazing and bravely admitting (if we want to) what can be hard.
We'll end our gathering with fun, whether that be dipping our toes in the river or having a riverside dance party. We'll see what the day calls for!
There is no fee to attend, but we will be collecting donations for Lily's passion: horse-riding. She's hoping to buy her own helmet or riding boots for the new season!
