SUP Witches!! It’s almost time to put down your broomsticks and pick up the paddle! Ride into spooky season with a glide through the gorgeous waters at Cultus Lake.
FUN for all ages & abilities! SUP boards, Kayakers, Canoes, Rowboaters & all small non-powered watercraft are all welcome! LET'S GET SPOOKY! It’s a Fantastic way to start off October with the Halloween spirit.
*WHEN: Oct 4th 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
*WHERE: Cultus Lake, Main Beach. Chilliwack. LAUNCH Location : Main beach near Paddke Biat Rentals. You are welcome to launch wherever you choose!
*PARKING: MAIN BEACH has two parking areas . PAY Parking.
*WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear your favourite WITCH costume (warlocks are welcome, too), and please make sure you dress accordingly for water safety and for the best SPOOKY vibes! Search up “witches on the water” for lots of photo inspiration.
*SAFETY NOTES: Reminder - NO LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY. Be Water Aware! Always have a PDF and a whistle. SUP’s need a board leash. Paddle at your own risk.
There will be no official instruction, leadership, liability, lifeguard, safety personnel or supervision.
We are a responsible group - Clean up after yourselves & respect the park. There may be boats moored - please be respectful and careful as you navigate.
*INCLUSION: All paddle levels welcome and no one will be left behind!
This is NOT a race – this is a fun, casual, group paddle. All ages, all witches, all warlocks and any spooky creature in between is welcomed! If you do not have a paddle board, kayak, or small boat - you are still welcome to participate as Beach Witches!!

*BEACH WITCH: Everyone is welcome and we mean that! If you are on the fence about joining us - just know this is an inclusive and relaxed event. If being on the actual water is not your thing, please consider joining us on the beach, or on the docks. Get your best witchy outfit and bring your fave beach chair! Don't forget your broom!! Show us your best SPOOKY Set Up!! Snacks are always graciously welcomed. Maybe you have some fabulous moves and want to show them off doing the witch dance on the dock!!
*HISTORY: Since 2019 there have been Witches on the local waters!! 2025 Witches on the Water Cultus Lake, is shaping up to be an exciting and historic event, we are hoping to have at least 100 magical paddles this year as many of the local SUP Witches groups are casting spells and coming together to bring you this one big event!
*EVENT NOTES:
We plan on being up at Main Beach around 12:30 (ish) hopefully sooner - to get the lay of the land and maybe stretch out a few muscles while getting into the spirit of things.
* - Welcome witches as they arrive 🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕
* - Witch Dance - if there is enough interest - attempt the "Shake Your Bacon Witches Dance" on the docks at 12:45pm!!!
* - Around 1:00pm, start launching onto the water!! (earlier is fine)
* - Witches on the Water will glide towards the marina put on a Witchy Water parade for those living along the water!
* - Witches, once we reach the marina we will turn and head back to main beach for some water photos.
* - THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO ENJOY YOUR TIME ON THE WATER - JUST BE WATER SAFETY AWARE - HAVE FUN!!
* - once back on land, be sure to take a few minutes and introduce yourself to your fellow witches and be prepared for lots of photo ops!!
