Ever wished for a bonsai that needed less attention [read: constant styling, fertilizing, pest control, and panic attacks when you forgot to water it for a few days in the summer]? If so, this meeting on July 13th With Gianluca Bacci is for you.
Presentation: Natural Bonsai of Desert Ecosystems
The harsh environment of desert ecosystems are the ideal conditions for creating natural bonsai. In this presentation, Gianluca Bacci will take you on a journey to several xeric landscapes across the globe to reveal some of the incredible plants that reside there. He will also go over many of the similarities and differences between succulent and bonsai cultivation to bridge the gap between these two worlds, while simultaneously pointing out succulent species, which could be ideal for a bonsai setting.
