The Mycological Society of the North State is the 10th chapter of the North American Mycological Society.
Established in 2019, we're excited to bring this resource to the area and hope to talk and collaborate on ideas for what you'd like to see in this group as we move forward. Our primary goal is to advance opportunities in mycology research, interest and education here in the North State. It is open to all levels, experts to amateur mycoenthusiasts, were all learning together.
Come on out and grow with us ๐ Volunteers are needed and appreciated. I encourage everyone to check out namyco.org to see all the incredible resources we have availible, then sign up to become an official member.
๐๐๐This myco meet we're very excited to plan some events and outings for this fall and begin looking ahead to what we'd like to do in the coming year.
Our last meeting was so much fun, we got to have a hands on cooking demo and enjoyed locally foraged mushrooms and other delightful mushroom culinary treats and snacks. It was truly delicious and I believe food has a beautiful way of bringing people together and sharing experiences.
If anyone would like to bring a small dish or treat to share, we welcome it, but not required. All mycoenthusiasts are welcome, kids as well ๐

Kentfield Garden is a community space in a local neighborhood. There are no bathrooms, and limited parking. Please be courteous of neighbors and the garden ๐ We're very greatful to have this space.
Big thanks to Todd & Molly for allowing us use of this beautiful garden to gather. ๐
