Demystifying Meditation with Jenni Barnett is a class for anyone looking for ways to calm the mind and connect to yourself…all you need is your breath. Learn the basics of meditation and how to get even more out of your practice, if you have a current practice. In each monthly class, you'll get cozy and comfortable and start with a brief introduction, then flow into a short practice, followed by some reflection, questions and closing with a short meditation.

Wear comfortable clothes. Bring a journal or something to write with.

Jenni Barnett is a certified meditation teacher and a full time caregiver to her sister-in-law who has cerebral palsy. Jenni spent much of her life caught up in feelings of anxiety and unhealthy coping mechanisms. After beginning a meditation practice she was able to relieve the anxiety and find ways to lessen the stress that comes with being a caregiver.

Using a mix of breathwork, visualization, affirmations and other techniques she has learned, Jenni shares the stress relieving benefits of meditation with other caregivers along with providing a space for everyone to begin and grow their own practice.
