King Lear —A Theatrical Reading with the Shakespeare Project of Chicago

In this theatrical reading, professional actors from the Shakespeare Project of Chicago will bring the great tragedy "King Lear" to life, in a performance directed by Michelle Shupe.

Founded in 1993, the Shakespeare Project of Chicago has performed at the Newberry since 2003. This reading will be preceded by an informative talk by a dramaturg about ten minutes before the performance and followed by a question-and-answer talkback with the director and cast.

This program is free and open to all. Advance registration required.
