Stop-Motion Animation Workshop

Join us at Mainstage Chicago as animator and video editor David Wall introduces you to the technical and artistic elements of stop-motion animation. David will walk through the fundamental tools needed to make your own animation. Then, you and fellow attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive demonstraion and animate something yourselves!

David Wall is a Chicago-based filmmaker with over ten years of experience as a director, editor, and stop-motion animator. Over his career, he's created commercials, social ads, music videos, short films, documentary series, and more for clients all over the US. Using the age-old art form of stop-motion animation, David has found a nostalgic and approachable way to tell stories that connect with audiences of all kinds. In addition, his skillsets as an editor and director maintain a variety of work with repeat clients. With a burning passion for storytelling and film history, David Wall has cemented himself as an authority in the Chicago filmmaking community.
