The seductive guitar and vocal stylings of Spells and Curses aim to prove that despite our past trauma, surviving and making a better life is the ultimate revenge. Spells and Curses attempt this by creating music to explore one's "inner space", with songs that act as a “spell” to enhance the moment, or a “curse” to damn it.
J. Lincoln is a Chicago based educator, composer and performer. Fusing conservatory disciplines with free improvisation, J. creates space for musical dialogue while adhering to form, painting his canvases with jazz, RnB, and contemplative songs.
Midwest Palm Tree is a solo project from Brian Saavedra that encapsulates all of the influences from various bands he has played in, as well as influences from the bands that inspired him to pick up an instrument. A mix of multiple genres, the songs are a DJ set of all of his favorite musicians.
Guests will be served food and beverage throughout the show by one of our attentive servers. Check in starts 30 minutes before the show.
