Digging the Greats:

This workshop will give you another tool to dig yourself out of a writing slump and have in your shed.In Sampling the Greats: Digging with a Golden Shovel, participants will connect the present to the past using their musical knowledge, Sankofa, and history of how poet Terrence Hayes invented the form. In the workshop, writers will compose their own pieces based on another writer’s work. This generative workshop is open to beginning, intermediate, and veteran poets interested in learning a new structure.
