OTV Social Hours: Open House & Co-working Day

Join us on Thursday, July 17 at the OTV Studio in Humboldt Park for another day of co-working, community, and creative nourishment. Whether you came to the first one or this is your first time, you’re invited to drop in, settle into the space, and connect with fellow filmmakers, artists, and storytellers.

At 12:00 PM, join us for Programming Realness: a candid Lunch & Learn conversation featuring:

• Jada-Amina Harvey, Lead Curator at Black Harvest Film Festival
• NK Gutiérrez, Executive Director of Midwest Film Festival
• In conversation with Sarah Minnie, OTV’s Head of Artist Development & Production

Together, they’ll pull back the curtain on what really goes into programming film festivals. How decisions get made, what programmers are looking for, and how you can better position your work for the screen.

This convo will be especially valuable for Black, queer, and intersectional filmmakers and creatives navigating the indie space and building their own festival strategies. Expect real talk, practical takeaways, and a chance to ask questions directly.
