Open Hearts, Open Streets: Volunteer to Uplift Our Homeless Neighbors

On Sunday, July 20th from 10 AM to 1 PM, join Street Samaritans at TechNexus (20 N Wacker Drive) for our monthly Street Outreach Drive. Together, we’ll take to the streets of Chicago to distribute essential supplies, food, and care—and most importantly, human connection—to our unhoused neighbors.

This is more than volunteering. It’s a movement of compassion. Whether you’ve served with us before or are looking to get involved for the first time, this is your opportunity to:

• Make a tangible impact on someone's day
• Listen and connect with people often overlooked
• Distribute care packages and vital resources
• Walk the streets in solidarity, not charity
• Experience the power of community and empathy

No special skills or experience needed—just your time, your heart, and your commitment to showing up.

We’ll begin by assembling care packages and sorting donations before breaking into small outreach teams, each led by one of our team members. All necessary supplies will be provided. Come dressed for the weather and ready to walk.
