This youth-centered community event—one of a larger monthly series—will examine Malcolm X’s influence on multiracial coalition-building.
Youth and other community members are invited to reflect on the organizing legacy of the Chicago Freedom Movement, the commemoration of MLK in Marquette Park, and youth-led movements that foster solidarity among Black, Arab, and Latino communities.
This will provide a lens to engage with the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing families in Chicago Lawn and surrounding neighborhoods today.
