Art Speaks at Hairpin

Art Speaks is a creative experience blending visual art with spoken word. Held at Hairpin Arts Center in Logan Square, this unique event invites you to slow down, reflect, and connect through storytelling and art.

Selected writers will perform original pieces inspired by artwork from local Chicago artists. Each pairing reveals a new emotional lens—sometimes poetic, sometimes personal, always powerful.

Live jazz music will play throughout the evening, setting the opening night's tone.

Over 40 artists will have their original work on display throughout the gallery, all pieces will be available for sale.

Opening Night, The Unveiling (August 7), features our first set of writer/artist pairings, with live jazz to set the tone. 6-9:30PM

Closing Night, Diving Deeper (August 14), continues the experience with more pairings, followed by a special segment where participating artists are invited to take the mic and speak about the stories behind their work.6-9PM

Your ticket includes access to both nights + one complimentary drink. Come to one or both nights!

The venue is on the second floor, and it is equiped with an elevator for those that need it.
