1-day Riso-printed Card Making Workshop!!

1-day Riso card-making workshop!!

Make your own set of 2-color greeting cards at a 1-day 3-hour workshop at my studio in Humboldt Park, Chicago! Make party invitations, thank you notes, early Halloween/Christmas cards, or any other kind of card!

For folks unfamiliar with how Riso printing works, you'll get a brief printing demo and you'll learn how to make color separations. Then each participant will have a chance to print their own A-2-sized card designs. You will leave with 20 cards of the same design printed on off-white card stock and 20 kraft paper envelopes.

Please come with an idea in mind, and preferably a sketch.

You can work with:

traditional media (pens/pencils/markers) on paper; collage; digital programs/apps like Photoshop, Procreate, etc; or a combination of these things.

If you plan to work digitally, you will need to bring your own device, such as iPad or laptop, and be familiar with the programs/apps you plan to use. You can also print using photos from your phone (you can get them to me during the class.)

I have a small collection of collage materials & rubber stamps - if you have something specific you’d like to work with, please bring your own images.

My studio is located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, near California & Division Streets. You will receive the exact address once you sign up for the class.

This class is for adults aged 18 and over.
