Somatic Breathwork consists of GENTLE breathing patterns to access and soften into the nervous system. Unlike circular connected breathing like holotropic or dynamic breathwork, which often stresses the nervous system into collapse or fight/flight, somatic breathwork is designed to gently and slowly unwind the emotional body without catharsis or overwhelm.
Our time together will consist of a mix of:
-somatic resourcing and gentle somatic exercises
-journaling
-connection through interactive dyads
-creative process
-somatic breath flow
-integration and rest time
The theme for this journey will be and introductory experience to somatic breathwork.
This journey is ideal for anyone:
- looking to release emotional tension from their body
- with regular self-care and support in place in their day to day life, in other words you know how to resource yourself and take care of your energy during and after emotional experiences
This journey is NOT ideal if you are:
-looking for big emotional release
-currently processing deep trauma and your nervous system is already at capacity (low energy)
-looking to breathwork as a substitute for therapy
-experiencing medical challenges having to do with the heart and the circulatory system
