Culture & Language Meetup - Honour & Shame

In Thailand, honour and shame shape everyday life. People seek to bring dignity to themselves, their families, and their communities, while avoiding situations that cause embarrassment or “loss of face.” This affects communication — you may notice indirect answers, polite agreement, or avoidance of open conflict. As missionaries, learning to protect honour and handle mistakes gently will help you build trust and share Christ in a way that connects with Thai hearts.
