Jane's Walk (Downtown Bethesda)

Join us for the first Strong Towns DC Jane's Walk. Inspired by writer and activity Jane Jacobs, Jane's Walks are a way for us to get together and learn more about our neighborhoods, what makes them work, what issues they may face, and how to make things better. By getting out in the neighborhood on foot, we can see more than we ever could in our cars.

Our inaugural walk will take place in downtown Bethesda. We will begin our walk at Elm Street Urban Park, meeting at the benches by the intersection of Willow and 46th. From there, I will take you on a walk through downtown Bethesda and give you a glimpse of what the town has to offer. Along the way, I will indicate points of interest and tell you a bit about the area. I have only been living here in downtown Bethesda for a year and a half, so anybody who is more familiar is also welcome to join and teach us!

The walk should be around 3 miles long and take up to 1.5 hours. We will end our walk at Ceremony Coffee on East-West Highway to eat and debrief.
