Networks for Nature is a conservation project led by Chester Zoo that brings people together to create lasting change for wildlife. This talk explores how the project works in partnership with communities and partner organisations to support nature recovery in the local area. Learn how this growing movement is connecting people and places to secure a future where nature can thrive.
Having recently secured funding of over £4 million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we’ll discuss:
Aims, objectives and scope of the project
- Who we will be working with and hope to work with
- What Chester Zoo are doing on their land
- What partner organisations like Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Sustrans, Canal and River Trust, Cheshire West and Chester Council and the Land Trust will be doing
- Why it might be relevant to you
- How to get involved
There will be plenty of time to ask questions after the talk, what's more, free hot drinks and biscuits will be provided!
This event is aimed at adults, however sensible older children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility: The Community Hall is on the first floor of the building and can be accessed via stairs or a lift. Please let us know prior to the session if you have any access needs or other relevant additional needs.
