Under Strange Moonlight: A Four-Session D&D Campaign
The adventure takes place in Narissia, a bustling coastal city in the throes of an era that future historians would later call the Crimson Divide - an era which began six months ago when the city's powerful mercenary company, the Red Wardens, was disbanded by royal decree upon the revelation of their leader's true fiendish nature. With the resulting power vacuum, the city is in a state of flux, as new factions rise and old loyalties are tested, creating a fertile ground for heroes to shine.
Adding to the city's unease is the Gloaming Moon, a rare and unpredictable celestial event. Under its eerie, diffused light, the veil between worlds thins, causing strange phenomena and blurring the lines of reality. It's a time when shadows seem to move on their own, and whispers of forgotten tales feel unnervingly real.
This story follows a small band of former Red Wardens who have since been finding small successes as adventurers for hire, only to stumble head first into a city-wide mystery that challenges the very fabric of reality…
What to Expect - Welcome to an immersive, multi-part adventure designed to introduce you to the exciting world of D&D. We provide everything you need for an unforgettable experience, including:
• Guided Character Creation: Craft your very own hero in a collaborative session, allowing you to personalise your adventurer from the start. (Feel free to come with ideas about a character you would like to play, however all character creation will take place in the first session - no pre-built character sheets, thank you!)
• Dynamic Leveling: Your characters will grow in power, leveling up each session as the adventure progresses!
• Immersive Tabletop Space: Enjoy playing in a dedicated and engaging environment.
These sessions are hosted by James Heath, a practised Games Master with nearly 10 years experience of running D&D, ready to guide you through your adventure. No prior roleplaying knowledge is required; this is an accessible and engaging opportunity for players of all abilities!
Dice, pencils, paper and character sheets will all be provided (although feel free to bring your own dice if you wish!)
What is a roleplaying game?
Roleplaying is a collaborative storytelling experience that thrives on mutual respect. All participants are encouraged to contribute to the narrative, consistent with the themes introduced by the Games Master and the inclusive values of Incom Gaming. As a fantasy adventure, players should anticipate descriptions of threat and violence appropriate to the genre. We welcome you to communicate any content concerns both prior to and during play.
This four-session experience is specifically designed for new players or those with limited RPG experience. It aims to introduce more complex story arcs and deeper character development than can be achieved in a single introductory session. Over the course of the campaign, your characters will grow in power and ability, progressing through levels as your adventure unfolds.
Commitment to the Adventure:
• Tickets are £60 per adventurer and include all sessions.
• By purchasing your ticket to this adventure, you are committing to attend four sessions at Incom Gaming.
• Please only book if you are able to attend ALL sessions, as consistent attendance significantly enhances the experience for all players involved.

Incom Gaming is a licensed venue. Please be aware that ID is required for the purchase of alcohol. To support our venue, we kindly request that only snacks and beverages purchased from Incom Gaming are consumed on the premises.

• Tuesday 22nd July from 6pm (this session is both character creation AND initial gameplay)
• Tuesday 29th July from 6pm
• Tuesday 12th August from 6pm (note: there is a 2-week gap between this and the previous session)
• Tuesday 19th August from 6pm
(Sessions typically last for about 4 hours, with a short mid-session break)
