The West Side Jazz and Blues Explosion

Led by local jazz saxophonist Francis Gryspeerdt, this newly formed combo plays straight ahead standards, bebop, post bop and bluenote style jazz. Tonight the lineup is comprised of an array of super local musicians and some renowned visiting guests. Francis is particularly pleased to welcome one of the UKs standout rising jazz stars, the very gifted and entertaining saxophonist Alex Clarke.

We are planning a jazz journey from the early days of Fats Waller and Charlie Parker, to music from more recent greats like Kenny Dorham, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Miles and Trane, Joe Henderson and George Coleman; and more! Enjoy!
