This will be a lively conversation featuring local historians who will discuss the history and architecture that have shaped the Township.
The roundtable will challenge local experts to engage each other in a spirited discussion. The goal will be to share perspectives that reveal what has gone before to better understand where we are now. Little seen images featuring the works of Frank Furness, Horace Trumbauer, Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Kahn will show off Cheltenham’s famed historic architecture.
Panelists will reveal the 19th century captains of industry who made Cheltenham home: Cyrus Curtis, John Wanamaker, William Breyer, John Stetson, Peter A.B. Widener, William L. Elkins, The Barker Brothers, Jay Cooke, William Welsh Harrison and many others.
Reception with refreshments and raffle drawing for dinners from local restaurants follows immediately in Parish House.
