'The Batman' (2022) with Special Guest, Rick English

We're thrilled to welcome Rick English, one of the UK's leading stunt performers, to Cheltenham for a special screening of The Batman. With over 200 film and TV credits, Rick has brought breathtaking action to the screen for more than two decades - including as a stunt double in The Batman. Audiences will have the chance to hear first-hand what it's like to bring Gotham's gritty high-stakes world to life.

Gone are the gadgets and glibness - this Batman is raw, haunted, and relentless. In his second year as Gotham's masked vigilante, Bruce Wayne faces the Riddler, a sadistic killer leaving a trail of cryptic clues across the city. As Batman delves deeper into the case, the investigation pulls him into the shadows of Gotham's corruption - and forces him to confront his own fractured identity.

Part neo-noir thriller, part psychological crime drama, The Batman pulses with rain-slicked atmosphere, nerve-tight suspense, and powerhouse performances from Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz. Director, Matt Reeves, strips the superhero formula to its bones, delivering a gripping, slow-burn mystery that's as much about fear and trust as it is about capes and car chases.
