The Seven Factors of Awakening offer a simple yet powerful guide to meditation practice, starting with the establishment of mindfulness and culminating in deep peace and clarity.

In this workshop, we'll explore the seven factors through the practice of embodied mindfulness, also known as Silent Illumination or 'just sitting'. Full instructions for sitting and walking meditation will be given, and we'll have plenty of time for practice.

This event is offered on a donation basis. Suggested donations are in the region £15-£30, but no payment is required. Please give within your means.

About Matt:

Matt has been practising meditation for almost twenty years. He qualified as a Zen meditation and mindfulness teacher in 2018, and was authorised to teach Buddhist retreats in the lineage of the Venerable Ayya Khema in 2022. He is the author of _In Buddha's Wake_, a practical guide to early Buddhist meditation; _Resting in the Unborn_, an exploration of the teachings of Zen master Bankei; and _Pathways of Meditation_, for beginners.
