Poetry and Pythagoras Plus Open Mic

American poet Ezra Pound described poetry as ‘a sort of inspired mathematics’, Albert Einstein described maths as ‘the poetry of logical ideas’ and poets including Lewis Carroll have written poetry using numerical logic.

In this unique and fascinating event poets Peter McDade and Ivor Daniel share poems influenced by mathematical rules and ideas and explore the common ground between these two disciplines.

There will be an open mic at this event. To get an open mic slot please buy an open mic ticket. Slots are for one poem lasting not more than 2 minutes.
