From fist pumping, stomp your feet workingman anthems to soulful ballads of love, heartache and loss; James' songs are all about storytelling. Intensely thought-out lyrics grind through raspy vocal cords with powerful emotion to produce rich, dark imagery that can really punch you in the heart.
James Leclaire grew up in the small town of Renfrew Ontario 45mins west of the nation’s capital and now resides in Manotick Ontario. He has played across Ontario and the east coast, performed at Ottawa’s Bluesfest, CityFolk and headlined the opening of the new Lansdowne Park.
In 2020, James went into the studio to record new material and by mid 2023 he had recorded 38 new songs. Some of which include guitarist/mandolinist Kevin Breit(Norah Jones), drummer Ed Toth(Doobie Bros), guitarist/pianist John Fraser Findlay(Juno Nominee) and harmonicist Mickey Raphael(Nelson/Young/Dylan/Stapleton).
James has been releasing new singles monthly since August 2023. The first ten compiled into his May 2024 album, Come On In. Since then the monthly singles have continued and the next 11 will create his July 2025 album, Self Deconstruction.

Qu'il s'agisse d'hymnes de travailleurs, de ballades d'amour, de chagrins d'amour et de pertes, les chansons de James racontent des histoires. Les paroles intensément réfléchies grincent à travers les cordes vocales râpeuses avec une émotion puissante pour produire une imagerie riche et sombre qui peut vraiment vous frapper au cœur.
James Leclaire a grandi dans la petite ville de Renfrew, en Ontario, à 45 minutes à l'ouest de la capitale nationale, et il habite maintenant à Manotick, en Ontario. Il a joué partout en Ontario et sur la côte Est, s'est produit au Bluesfest d'Ottawa, au CityFolk et a été la tête d'affiche de l'ouverture du nouveau parc Lansdowne.

James sort de nouveaux singles tous les mois depuis août 2023. Les dix premiers ont été compilés dans son album de mai 2024, Come On In. Depuis, les singles mensuels se sont poursuivis et les 11 prochains feront partie de son album de juillet 2025, Self Deconstruction.
