Led by Revd Karen Wellman. When we stand or sit or kneel to pray we are praying with our bodies but we often don’t notice how our bodies can help us pray as we focus on words or silence. This workshop aims to give participants an insight into how gesture can help us pray; to notice what we are already doing and to add to our toolbox of prayers gestures and prayer postures for ourselves and others.
Revd Karen Wellman is a priest and spiritual director currently working in the North Cotswolds. She is one of the very few ordained circle dance teachers in the UK and finds gesture, movement and dance are a means to find stillness in prayer.
