On Thursday, July 17, we’re joining communities across America for Good Trouble Lives On — a national day of action to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and demand an end to the growing attacks on our democracy and our rights.
Right here in Chelmsford, MA, we’ll be gathering at Chelmsford Town Common at 6pm for a stand-out protest and sign holding. Join us immediately after the protest for a Chelmsford Connected Meeting.

Together, we’ll raise our voices to say we demand a democracy where all of us — Black, Brown, white, immigrant, Indigenous, LGBTQ+, and working people — can make our voices heard and live with dignity.
Twelve years after the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in the Shelby County decision, we are seeing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. The Trump administration and its allies have passed laws making it harder to vote, tried to criminalize peaceful protest, slashed healthcare and programs working families rely on, and targeted Black, Brown, immigrant, and trans communities with hateful policies.
Congressman Lewis taught us that change doesn’t come by waiting for permission. It comes when we come together to make good trouble, necessary trouble.
So on July 17, we’re taking to the streets, the courthouses, and our community spaces to march in peace and act in power. We’re showing that Good Trouble Lives On and that together, we can protect our rights and build a democracy that works for all of us.
Bring your friends, your neighbors, and your commitment to justice. When we stand together, we rise.
