Pinot is the second most commonly planted variety of grape in England, and it's versatility means it's used in a wide range of styles. In this event we will be exploring the wonders of Pinot through a selection of Essex wines.
This will be an informal and experimental evening where we'll explore different varieties of Pinot grapes (think Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, etc) as well as different styles of Pinot wines (white, rosé, red) and wine making techniques. Whether you're a Pinot fan, or just keen to learn more, we hope you will find a new local favourite.
We will:
- Taste English Pinot Gris made in 2 different styles, and compare this to an English Pinot Grigio.
- Taste a white, rosé and red wine all made from Pinot Noir grapes.
- Compare the different tasting profile between Pinot Noir and the earlier ripening Pinot Noir Précoce.
Ticket price includes: 7 wine samples, a tasting notes booklet, crisps and crackers.
This tasting event is expected to last 2 hours, with the option to stay a little longer to socialise and enjoy any remaining wine.
