This is a 4mile hilly, difficult walk around Cheddar Gorge to hopefully catch a gorgeous sunset near the end.
We meet at Black Rock Car Park near the top of the Gorge Cliff Road.

There is zero phone reception here, so please make sure you are early and know exactly where we are meeting
There isn't many parking spaces here, so also please arrange a Car Share where possible.
The route we are doing is rocky (slippy and sketchy if wet) and muddy in places. Also the route has quite a few steep hilly sections.
We head anti clockwise around the gorge for stunning views all round. There is a few wooded sections and we may see a few goats and horses. Halfway we could stop if Cheddar and grab a cake from any of the shops there. On our way back we walk along the top of the gorge to catch a sunset there.
Sunset time is 6:11pm and should hopefully set through the gorge.
We could be finishing the walk in the dark and there will be some very steep, difficult downhill sections. So you may want a torch.
I expect to be back at the cars for about 7pm.
After the walk, for those keen, we can pop to a nearby pub for an evening meal and post walk drink.
There is the chance of Cattle along multiple sections of this walk, So no dogs on this walk.
