Yin Yoga - Sound Bath - Trauma Sensitive Yoga - Meditation - Breathwork - Somatic Inquiry - Intention Setting

Welcome to Your 4-Week Journey

This 4-week journey invites you to take the time to settle into the new year. It encourages you to pause, breathe, and tune in to your inner self. As we approach 2026, we invite you to slow down, reflect on the past year, let go of what no longer serves you, and create space and intentions for the year ahead. This is the 2nd year running this together, this year we invite you explore themes of seasons.

What to Expect

This practice focuses on your experience of being in your own body, helping you to embody your personal journey. You will explore a variety of modalities, including:

  • Yin Yoga: A gentle practice that explores letting go, relaxation and mindfulness.
  • Trauma-Sensitive Yoga: A safe space for healing and self-discovery, promoting choice and curiosity.
  • Sound Bath Meditation: Sensory rest, surrendering to the sounds of Tibetan Singing Bowls and Koshi chimes.
  • Conscious Connected Breathwork: a trauma-informed practice supporting you to connect with your body and process emotions, releasing stuck tension and pain.
  • Somatic Inquiry: Supporting you to bring deeper understanding to physical sensations and emotions, access the subconscious mind and overcome limiting patterns and beliefs.
  • Intention Setting: Creating clear and meaningful goals for the year ahead.

This new year special is all about:

  • YOU
  • Coming home to yourself and starting the new year
  • Practice will be trauma sensitive led
  • A space of safety, connection and compassion
  • An exploration of different modalities
  • An exploration of seasonal themes
  • This is for you if you want to safely become embodied and heal holistically through body and breath
  • This would be suitable if you have wanted to explore trauma informed practices but 1-1 pricing but is not financially viable.

More about Sophie - Calm in the Wild

My name is Sophie Walsh and I am a yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Trauma informed yoga and Pre & Post natal yoga. A couple of years ago, I had decided to take a risk by changing directions in life and fully immersed myself into the world of yoga. This all started following an 'Aha!' moment when I can honestly say that my anxiety, stress levels and mental health were at their worst. The sensation was so strong, that I immediately acted to change my life for the better. This all took place when I was working as an NHS acute speech and language therapist. Due to this, I understand the importance of taking care of both our physical and mental health. During any difficult times, yoga has been a constant source of strength and healing for me, especially once I furthered my development into trauma informed yoga. With this experience, I wanted to teach yoga so that I may be able to offer a safe and relieving space for those who needed it.

Yoga is so much more than just the physical postures that we often see in classes. It is essentially stilling the mind so deeply until it rests within a state of complete peace. My focus as a yoga teacher is to help others find calm, balance and nourishment within their hectic and wild lives.

I am beyond excited to share my knowledge and experience with you all. So join me on a journey of self-discovery, healing and growth, and let's explore the magic of yoga together!
