More about Sophie - Calm in the Wild
My name is Sophie Walsh and I am a yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Trauma informed yoga and Pre & Post natal yoga. A couple of years ago, I had decided to take a risk by changing directions in life and fully immersed myself into the world of yoga. This all started following an 'Aha!' moment when I can honestly say that my anxiety, stress levels and mental health were at their worst. The sensation was so strong, that I immediately acted to change my life for the better. This all took place when I was working as an NHS acute speech and language therapist. Due to this, I understand the importance of taking care of both our physical and mental health. During any difficult times, yoga has been a constant source of strength and healing for me, especially once I furthered my development into trauma informed yoga. With this experience, I wanted to teach yoga so that I may be able to offer a safe and relieving space for those who needed it.
Yoga is so much more than just the physical postures that we often see in classes. It is essentially stilling the mind so deeply until it rests within a state of complete peace. My focus as a yoga teacher is to help others find calm, balance and nourishment within their hectic and wild lives.
I am beyond excited to share my knowledge and experience with you all. So join me on a journey of self-discovery, healing and growth, and let's explore the magic of yoga together!
